Chimney Designer

Job Summary

The Chimney Designer is responsible for the design, development, and continuous improvement of kitchen chimney products, ensuring they meet functional, aesthetic, quality, and regulatory requirements. The role involves creating innovative product designs, developing 2D and 3D models, preparing manufacturing drawings, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring new products from concept to production. The ideal candidate should have strong technical expertise in sheet metal design, airflow systems, product development, and manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design and develop kitchen chimney products from concept through production.
2. Create detailed 2D drawings, 3D models, and assembly designs using CAD software.
3. Develop product specifications, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and manufacturing documentation.
4. Design sheet metal components, housings, brackets, and structural assemblies.
5. Collaborate with R&D, Production, Quality, Procurement, and Tool Room teams during product development.
6. Optimize product designs for performance, manufacturability, cost, and reliability.
7. Conduct prototype evaluation, product testing, and design validation.
8. Ensure compliance with applicable safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
9. Support New Product Development (NPD) activities, engineering changes, and product improvements.
10. Coordinate with suppliers for component development and technical feasibility.
11. Perform root cause analysis and implement design improvements based on customer feedback and field performance.
12. Maintain engineering documentation, revision control, and product design records.
